As the wife of an Air Force veteran, Karla has a deep appreciation for our military and has a Military and Veteran Housing Certification. She is also fluent in Spanish. She was born in Mexico and moved to the United States at the age of three!

In television, Karla worked as an on-air Meteorologist at KTNV-Channel 13 in Las Vegas and KVIA ABC-7 in El Paso, TX. She was also Program Director and Community Relations Director at KVIA ABC-7, and Station Relations Coordinator at the ABC TV Network in Burbank, CA. Needless to say, she wore many different hats in the television industry!

Karla lives in Las Vegas with her husband and beloved fur children: Bunny, Hannah, Dutton, Chip and Dale. (Yes, five dogs!) She is an avid curler out of her home club, CurlVegas, and also curls competitively with the Mexican women's national team. Karla and her husband are big sports fans and love their Las Vegas Raiders and Vegas Golden Knights. She is a lifelong Raiders fan and grew up watching the games with her dad, who grew up in Oakland. Karla is a runner and has run the Long Beach and Rio Grande marathons. She is also an animal lover and supports a number of animal welfare organizations.
